About Bonny Downs At Bonny Downs, we work tirelessly to support our neighbours in need, give them a helping hand, and help them move forward through a suite of joined-up support services.
We also work in close partnership with other local organisations including Newham Foodbank, Bonny Downs Baptist Church, Skills Enterprise, Ascension Community Trust and the NEWway Project to help build a brighter future for Newham together.
We primarily help those in the East Ham/E6 with food. For people outside of this area we can signpost to other support.
Help we can provide:
1) Emergency Food Parcels
BDCA teamed up with Bonny Downs Church to run our foodbank where our volunteers provide emergency food parcels and a free hot lunch for people who cannot afford to feed themselves and their children.
You will need foodbank vouchers or a referral from a front line care professional. 2) Advice & Support
BDCA’s team of friendly advocates offer free 1-2-1 advice appointments to help people get through their crises. Our team includes trained advisors and can help with things like benefit applications, liaising with social services, negotiating affordable debt repayment plans and helping you access local support services that meet your needs.
